Catherine Soundirarassou and Jean-Louis Rossi, the founders of Machja, were both executives with Parisian firms before they made a career change to align more completely with their ethical values.
Complying with Fair Trade principles, participating in sustainable development, and designing affordable, quality organic clothing were some of the challenges that Machja overcame before relocating to the Ile de Beaut, in the city of Bastia, Corsica, with the determination to help revitalize the island economy.
The Corsican ready-to-wear brand has grown steadily and successfully well since its inception in 2005, as its partnerships with ethical workshops have strengthened. Motivated by a true desire to design green, chic and ethical pieces, the Machja team is dedicated to achieving full client satisfaction.
