Machja, a fast growing Eco Fashion Label from Corsica, has been acknowledged
by consumers and the media as a pioneer in ethical fashion.
The new casual wear has been designed to seduce the trendy consumer,
who is fun loving and free and interested in participating in social issues
based on the principles of respect.
From Paris to Bastia, an ethical and multicultural adventure
Catherine Soundirarassou and Jean-Louis Rossi, the founders of Machja,
were both executives with Parisian firms before they made a change to
align their careers more completely with their ethical values.
The founders relocated to the Ile de Beauté in the city of Bastia,
Corsica, with the determination to help revitalize the island economy. Machja’s
overarching goals are to comply with Fair Trade principles, participate
in sustainable development, and design affordable, quality organic clothing.
The Corsican ready-to-wear brand has grown steadily and successfully
since its inception in 2005, as its partnerships with ethical workshops
have strengthened. Motivated by a true desire to design green, chic and
ethical pieces, the Machja team is dedicated to achieving full client
satisfaction.
Respect as a core value

principles, ensure ethical business practices with respect to human rights
in the work place, and guarantee quality, safe, and healthy working conditions
to our producers.
- Respect for the Environment: We use SKAL and Flo-Cert
certified organic cotton and support the development of innovative ecological
raw materials such as milk protein fiber.
- Respect for the Consumer: We pay extreme attention to the quality and the style of all our products, down to the slightest detail.
